- Modern Poetry in Translation
Founded in 1966 by Ted Hughes and Daniel Weissbort to publish
poetry that dealt truthfully with the real contemporary world, and to
benefit writers and the reading public in Britain and America by
confronting them with good work from abroad. Now in its third series,
with two issues a year, the current editors of MPT, David and Helen
Constantine continue in that tradition. The real circumstances of the

by what is foreign, is greater still.
